Along with having enough qualified skaters to form a team, now we need to look like a team. Although our league has lots of Fierce Valley Roller Girls merchandise and branding, our team Parma Violents needed the same treatment, including the artwork for a logo. We launched a competition via Facebook and took a vote; the finished design will adorn our lovely new t-shirts and hoodies, and anything else that we can get our hands on!

The heat is really on now for us to do our ‘qualified’ status and new uniforms justice. Training has gone up about 5 gears, with guest appearances from skaters from other leagues. So far, Psychomilly from Dundee Roller Girls and Team Scotland reserve has treated us to a jamming masterclass; referee Alun Hughes took our own refs through their paces; and on Tuesday just there, Danger Mouth from Auld Reekie Roller Girls and Team Scotland, no less, gave us some lessons on blocking and hitting.

We’re all working well as a team and learning from each other, and the results are massive! I’m so proud to be part of such an amazing team and league 🙂 I’m actually counting down the days to our first bout, but more on that later – not sure if I’m allowed to tell you yet!
