Since Forth Valley covers such a large area, we’re trying our best to get our name in as many media outlets as possible to generate interest for our Fresh Meat programme and also to hopefully build up a bit of a fan base when we’re bouting.

‘Word of mouth’ has proven invaluable for us in hiring new recruits, and Facebook works really well for advertising our events to a wider circle than just derby fans. We’re also making a big push to get Fierce Valley Roller Girls in the local media, with The Alloa Advertiser and The Falkirk Herald showing keen interest in publishing our stories, and recently local radio station, Central FM, has asked for an interview!

We got our mugs in the local papers a fair bit in 2011 – bring on more of the same in 2012!
